It's a Plant Cell...incase your wondering!!!

Hayley had to make a display of a plant cell for school...and of course she chose to do a cake. She got an "A" and a belly ache...go figure. This was one school assignment she loved!!

Heart in the right place!!

Sunday I was out trimming bushes in our front yard with mom. When I bent over I totally threw my back outa place. Talk about PAIN!!! I went inside to lay down, Hayley and Mom followed...but I sent Hayley out cuz I didn't want her to see me upset. A while later mom went back out to finish trimming and Hayley comes in crying. When I asked her what's wrong, she said "I'm not very good at trimming!" I said "What did you do?" She said "I knew you were hurt, so I made u a heart." Mom then came in and I knew it was bad...cuz she was trying her hardest not to crack up in front of Hayley. After Hayley went up stairs, mom informed me...she indeed made me a heart bush!!!!

Oceanside, CA

Wyndham has a resort in Oceanside CA right on the coast. Since the kids are on track break this month we decided to take a little trip. What a great place to visit. It was awesome to get such a close view of the surfers from the pier. There was this one guy who rode a wave all the way in and landed right below us...he had no idea we were watchin...but was soo excited to catch a great wave he let out this loud giggle. It was so cute!! We ate at Joe's Crab Shack right on the coast. It was awesome to see all the fishing boats. There was this one that come in with a huge load of lobsters. Fresh seafood...nothing better!! The night before we left we built a fire on the beach and made smores. It was a vaca to remember!!!

San Diego Zoo

The zoo was amazing!! The best part was when we were siting there taking a rest and this lady comes walking by with a cheetah on a leash...right next to us. It was kinda freaky...but way cool. The animals were great...but what impressed me most was all the beautiful flowers, plants and trees that went with the different regions where the animals were from. I shoulda got more pictures, I know....where's Lorri when ya need her!!
